Wednesday, September 30, 2009: Today's Almanac had an article about a September 22 School Board meeting that discussed possible renovations to the athletic field at Boyce Middle School. The School Board will soon begin considering the addition of artificial turf, loudspeakers and field lights that may be similar to those at the high school.

Residents who are familiar with the high school's lighting or who recall the noise from the two-day band practice at Boyce Middle School in June may be concerned about how these developments will affect their quality of life, and may wish to argue for development that will make less of an impact on the neighborhood.

If you are concerned, make your opinions known. You can contact the School Board, which is making the initial plans, or the Township, which will have to approve the lighting.
