The homeowners association needs new street representatives to
replace outgoing street representatives on
Cedarvue, Quail Hill, and
Hollow Tree / Merry Oak / Turnberry. Being
a street representative is a good way to be more involved in
neighborhood activities, to meet people from across the neighborhood,
and to do something nice for the neighborhood.
If you live on one of these streets, please consider volunteering
your time. If you think that you might be interested, or just want
to know a little more, please contact your street
representative, or homeowners association
President Judith Browne.

The homeowners association is offering a new membership option this
year - unlisted email addresses. If you select the unlisted
email option, you will continue to receive occasional email notices
from the homeowners association, but your email address will not be
published in the Directory. You have until January 1 to
select the unlisted email option.
|
|
You should have received your membership renewal form by
now. Please return it to your street
representative by November 16. If you didn't receive a form,
or if you misplaced it, you can download and print a
new form.
The directories will be available at the annual meeting of the
Homeowners' Association on February 6, 2010 at Boyce Middle School.
Thanks for your support of the Deerfield Manor Homeowners Association.

The September 30 Almanac had
an
article about possible renovations to the athletic field at Boyce
Middle School.
The School Board will soon begin considering the addition of artificial
turf, field lights and loudspeakers that may be similar to
those at the high school.
Residents who are familiar with the high school's lighting or who recall
the noise from the two-day band practice at Boyce Middle School in June
may be concerned about how these developments will affect their quality
of life, and may wish to argue for development that will make less of
an impact on the neighborhood.

In March 2008 Bill and Jeff Thomas purchased 70 undeveloped acres and
22 buildable lots in Deerfield Manor. You may have seen their
For Sale signs in the neighborhood. If you are
curious, or know someone who might be interested in purchasing a lot,
you might want to check out these
plot plans.
